Yeah, you’d be surprised how many blogs within the same general area that’s too industry focused, and hard to connect to, as a non seafaring person. It’s a delicate balance, something you master well. Swedish blogs on the subject are just not worth mentioning.

So yeah, starting my training this August hopefully. 3 years will be spent in school and 1 year at sea in total. The one year at sea is broken down into 4 smaller sections, three months a piece. Spread out over time. Goals, hard to say as of yet. But I´ll make sure to keep you posted! Lets hook up on facebook if you’re a user.

http://www.facebook.com/david.appelberg

Cheers,
DavidAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6830234788257848988.post-28995493310300668442010-03-03T12:05:41.377-05:002010-03-03T12:05:41.377-05:00Thanks David!

I never thought people would be interested in my writing beyond immediate friends and family.

I would be very curious to know more about what route you'll be taking towards your Captain's license in Sweden and what you're goals are for working in the industry. Good luck!Deep Water Sailorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04943571114538589308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6830234788257848988.post-84616379758190951992010-03-03T04:20:37.431-05:002010-03-03T04:20:37.431-05:00Hi,

I really enjoy the blend of descriptive text and detail in regards to your occupation but also, due to the nature of your job, life as a whole. Also the fact that you’re part Swedish doesn’t hurt either. I’m planning to go to school this fall and start my training towards captain. Just wanted to let you now that your posts have made me more confident in my decision.

Cheers,
David
StockholmAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
